Bryan Robson tipped Millwall to pull off one of the biggest FA Cup shocks in history against Manchester United after Neil Harris' penalty ensured the Lions travel to Cardiff on a high.
Harris' 57th-minute spot-kick was one of the few bright spots in a dour end-of season encounter in which both teams seemed to have their minds on other matters.
Millwall of course have their big day in Cardiff to think about, while Bradford face a creditor's meeting this Friday before they contemplate life in division two next August.
But Robson, who won the Cup three times as Manchester United captain, believes Millwall could achieve the impossible against Sir Alex Ferguson's superstars.
He said: "It's not a foregone conclusion. Millwall will be up for it and they will raise their game for the occasion.
"In a one-off game you've always got a chance. United are odds-on favourites, and are a great team. But I've played in a couple of finals against teams like Crystal Palace and Brighton, and it is never a walkover." Millwall boss Dennis Wise admitted today's win - their first since beating Sunderland in the Cup semi final - was crucial to putting on a good performance against United.
He said: "It was nice to get a result. It means we go to Cardiff on the back of a win, which is important for us. But I would have swapped the final for a place in the play-offs all day long.
"It was our main aim. It is fantastic for everyone here that we have reached the final, and got in Europe. But the play-offs, which was the one we thought we would get, we didn't do." Bradford rarely threatened Millwall, and Tom Penford created their only real chance of the game when his shot grazed the crossbar in the 53rd minute.
But Robson was livid that referee Rob Styles opted to award the decisive penalty having waved it away before consulting his linesman.
He added: "It was just a pathetic decision by the linesman - it just drives you daft. If that was a handball, then I've never seen it.
"It is disappointing for the players because I wanted them to put in a solid performance, and we were comfortable. But a decision like that cost us the match."
