There was little to choose between the teams when Bradford manager Phil Parkinson, whose win was his side's third in eight days - all by a 1-0 margin, made a double substitution, bringing on Davies and fellow striker James Hanson to replace Jamie Proctor and Billy Clarke in the 67th minute.Less than a minute later the two substitutes combined to create the winner.The visitors defence failed to deal with James Meredith's long throw down the left and Hanson headed the ball into the path of Davies for him to turn the ball into the net at the near post.Tony McMahon missed the chance of adding a second goal for five minutes when Hanson laid the ball into his path, but he shot weakly wide of the far post.Scunthorpe's best chances came in the 34th minute when the Bradford defence had three narrow escapes in the space of a minute
