He told the club's official website: "I feel just that's probably the nature of football nowadays, maybe five years ago you wouldn't have been getting managers only signing until the end oft the season. But that is fine with me, I am just looking to extend my stay further.
"I've told the players, I'm here for 15 weeks at the moment, but I hope to be staying (at Bradford for) 2 years, 3 years and 15 weeks."
The Bantams are currently 17th in the table and 13 points away from a play-off place but Taylor added: "People might think there is not a lot left to play for this season, but then that's the beauty of the play-offs.
"They give teams a chance to do something, even at this late stage of the season, but of course we need to start winning games. If we can't make those play-off positions then we at least want to finish the season on a positive note and make the fans look forward to next season."
