Bradford striker Jake Speight will be available to return to training next week after being released from prison. The summer signing from Mansfield was jailed for assault last week but, following an appeal, the 24-year-old's punishment has been suspended for 18 months and he must now do 100 hours of community work. Speight's solicitor Mark Croft told the Telegraph & Argus: "I regret that this whole situation developed and I know Jake bitterly regrets putting the club in this position. "We are very grateful for the way this has been handled by (Bradford manager) Peter Taylor and everybody at Bradford City. We massively appreciate the support that he has been given. "Jake is determined to repay the faith the manager has shown in him and determined to regain the trust and respect of the supporters. I'm sure he will do that."
