The result secured the npower League Two status of both clubs, with Stuart Fleetwood's late goal cancelling out Jake Speight's penalty.
"I would have taken a draw before the game so all-in-all I am pleased with the performance," said Jackson.
Although Bradford conceded a late free-kick which led to Hereford's equaliser, Jackson was not too critical about the error.
"The wall didn't respond quickly enough but putting that aside we should have won this game but we didn't.
"Over the last six weeks we have climbed away from the relegation places and I have now done my job. Importantly now we have to think about next season."
