Doyle wins player of the year award

David Wetherall has been named City's Mr Consistency for the third year running but admitted: I'd swap it for three points on Saturday.

The caretaker-manager clinched his hat-trick last night after picking up the Telegraph & Argus most consistent player prize at the club's annual awards dinner.

And Nathan Doyle was back at City to make history as the first loan signing to be named the T&A/Bradford & Bingley player of the year - the award voted for by the fans. Doyle was joined at the presentation by current Hull team-mate Dean Windass, who once again collected the top-scorer's trophy, while Mark Bower was named players' player of the year.
