Joel Grant is a doubt for Crewe after the midfielder was forced off with a knock midway through last week's game against Rotherham.Centre-half Harry Worley (Achilles), fellow defender Danny O'Donnell (hip) and forward Byron Moore (ankle) are still sidelined.
Bradford must decide whether to risk James Hanson, who has missed the last six games with a hamstring injury.
Gareth Evans is expected to continue up front alongside Leon Osborne.
Bradford City manager Peter Taylor told BBC Radio Leeds: "I've always said that we'd be looking for progress and just lately we've had that, and I think some of the performance we've put in have been very encouraging.
"We still want to win another football match, I'm sure Crewe feel exactly the same but we all know that if we do win we could go up another one or two positions.
"I think to finish off in maybe 14th position would be terrific, so that's our aim and we'll be taking the strongest team available."
