An angry and frustrated David Wetherall could not believe that his players did not perform.
Wetherall admitted: "I'm being careful about what I say but we didn't perform on the day. The fans have been first class. They came in their numbers and gave us magnificent backing again and they deserved much better which makes it even more frustrating.
"I feel a degree of anger. We just weren't good enough, it's as simple as that. We got exactly what we deserved and that was nothing at all.
"In the weeks I've been in charge there have been signs of progression so I'm struggling to comprehend why it just wasn't there in this game. I am hurting. It's sad for myself and for the club and it's an understatement to say I'm very, very disappointed."
This time 6 years ago City were relegated from the Premiership, now we find ourselves releagted again but to the bottom tier. I guess now the only way is up.
